At Pregnancy Solutions & Services, you will meet people who truly care about you. We will answer your questions and help you understand that there are ways to still reach your future goals. We will listen as you carefully consider the options and make an informed decision about your pregnancy.
All services offered by PSS are confidential, caring, and free of charge.
Pregnancy Tests
If you have reason to believe you could be pregnant, you will need to know for sure. To determine if you are indeed pregnant, PSS offers a free self-administered urine pregnancy test.
 Limited Ultrasound
The technology of ultrasound has been in existence for over 40 years and still offers a “window to the womb.” By using sound waves, a picture is displayed on the ultrasound screen, enabling a woman to see the baby growing inside her.
Free limited ultrasounds are available on the PSS mobile ultrasound unit, Image Clear Ultrasound, which is an RV designed especially for confidentiality and convenience. ICU brings the power of ultrasound to you!
You will be able to see how far along you are in your pregnancy as well as your baby’s size and heartbeat. You will also receive an estimated due date.
Five days a week, ICU travels to different locations in the Akron area offering free ultrasounds. To schedule an appointment, please contact the PSS office.

PSS can offer referrals to a variety of agencies and organizations who are able to offer a wide variety of assistance.

 Pregnancy and Parenting Classes
PSS wants to help you learn to offers a variety of classes to help you learn more about pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. The classes are free. You just need to sign up.

Certain classes, based on the course and time offered, may fill up quickly, so please be sure to e-mail or call ahead to check availability and to reserve your seat(s). Partners are always welcome. Just please be certain to reserve a seat for them, too!
 Once you have completed all 12 classes in the Pregnancy Care or Infant Care series, you will receive credits that you can spend in our baby boutique, Emma’s Closet, where you will find a variety of items for you and for your baby.
Contact the PSS office if you would like to sign up for classes. We encourage you to come to our group classes on Tuesday evenings. However, if you miss a class or are unavailable Tuesday evenings, please call the PSS office to schedule another time to complete the class.
 Maternity and Baby Items
In our baby boutique, Emma’s Closet, you will find a large variety of new and lightly-used items for your baby, such as cribs, changing tables, strollers, swings, high chairs, infant and toddler clothing, blankets, bath supplies, shoes, diapers, formula, and more! Maternity clothing is also available.
All of the items in the store have been donated by local businesses, churches, and individuals.
Referrals to Adoption Agencies
If you choose to carry your baby to term and would like to have an adoption plan in place, PSS offers referrals to adoption agencies who will assist you in preparing an adoption plan.
 Post-Abortion Counseling
If you’ve had an abortion and would like to speak with someone about emotions or issues you are struggling with, PSS has trained counselors who will listen and offer guidance in dealing with the after effects of abortion. Please don’t hesitate to call the office and schedule an appointment.
